Indoor Park

Yachats Indoor Park is a weekly program designed for children ages 0-6 and their caregivers. At a cost of $1.00 per child, children and parents can spend three hours each week playing and learning together. Our preschool teacher is on hand to offer developmentally appropriate activities, to model quality parent/child interactions, and to help parents who may need advice, support, or information. This program provides parents with access to community resources and activities and reduces the social isolation of parents and children. Attendance at Yachats Indoor Park has been sporadic. During this grant period, we will be more proactive about recruiting new participants. We will personally contact new parents and residents, and will incorporate more resources for parents into the program. At least 10 new families will attend YIP during this grant period.
